Samara Weaving Bio

Samara Weaving was born in Adelaide, South Australia on February 23 in 1992. She was a teenager for the next several years, traveling from Singapore, Fiji and Indonesia to Australia with her family. She attended grade school in Jakarta, Indonesia, eventually attending Pittwater House School in Australia in 2004 prior to then enrolling in the Canberra Girls' Grammar School. It's not surprising that she spent many hours performing in stage shows as well as short films and dance. She also appeared with the Singapore Dance Company, Canberra Youth Theatre, and other theatre companies. In 2008 she was selected to play Kirsten Mulroney in the BBC series, Out of the Blue (2008). Although it was only one season, it was the capacity of 129 episodes. Samara appeared in 48 episodes. This kind of exposure brought her to her next job as Indi Walker in the Australian soap opera Home and Away (1988), a series in which she starred in more than 300 episodes. Even with all that achievement, family connections are not a bad thing. Samara was able to land her first major role in Mystery Road (2013), which starred Hugo Weaving, her uncle. After that she went on to star in the 2015 TV movie Squirrel Boys (2015) and then followed it up in a big way by playing an important role in the 2015 film Monster Trucks (2016) alongside veteran actors such as Rob Lowe and Danny Glover. Bonds is an Australian underwear company, also employs Samara as an actress.
