Rosario Isabel Dawson (born May 9th, 1979)[3] is an American actor and producer. Her feature film debut came in the 1995 independent drama Kids. Her roles in the following films include He Got Game (1998) and Josie and the Pussycats (2002). Dawson has also performed voice-over work for Disney/Marvel and Warner Bros./DC Comics and ViacomCBS's Nickelodeon unit.For her performance in Rent, Dawson won the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture; for her performance in Top Five, she was nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for the Best actor in a Comedy. Dawson was born on May 9, 1979, in New York City. Isabel Celeste, her mother is Afro-Cuban. Rosario was 16 at the time Isabel was born. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, never had a wedding with Patrick C. Harris. Rosario's mom, Greg Dawson, was employed as a construction worker when she was only one year old. In this union, Dawson has a half-brother, Clay, who is four years her junior. Dawson is also known for her roles in comic adaptations of books. This includes Gail in Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) and Diana Prince/Wonder Women on the DC Animated Movie Universe. She also plays Barbara Gordon/Batgirl on The Lego Batman Movie. She portrayed Ahsoka Tano on the show's second season in 2020 , and will be starring in the Disney+ original series Ahsoka. She will also appear in Young Rock, an autobiographical comedy produced developed by Dwayne John in 2021.
