Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright was born 17 February 1991. She is an actor, model and director from England. She is best known for her role in the role of Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter film series.Born in London, Wright made her professional acting debut in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001), portraying the role for ten years, before appearing in the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (2011). Wright has appeared in numerous independent films like Before I Sleep (2013) and The Sea (2013). The films received mixed praise. Wright made her stage debut with Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth in 2013 at the Southwark Playhouse. In 2012 she graduated from University of the Arts London with a bachelor's in filmmaking. In 2012, Wright founded BonBonLumiere and began making short films. The first film she directed was the coming of age drama Separate We Come. Separate We We Go (2012). This film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to high reviews. Wright also directed Know Thyself (2016), that starred Christian Coulson, as well as Sextant (2016). Both included emotional and landscape. Wright's three-part series, Phone Calls, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017. Medusa's Ankles (2018) The film stars Kerry Fox, Jason Isaacs and is based on A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She has directed music videos for Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn. Wright has earned recognition for her environmental activism; she is also an ambassador for the charities Greenpeace as well as Lumos.
