Milena Govich

Milena Govich is an actor, director musician, actor, and actor who has directed a number of episodes of TV, including The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire (2012) and Chicago Fire (2012), among others. Milena served as the Co-EP/Producing director on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018) and is currently attached for two pilots. Milena was one of the eight filmmakers chosen for AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women, as well as the only Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors Program. Unspeakable was her television series and short film. Starring Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort the film was awarded the award for Best Episodic at Seattle International Film Festival as in addition to Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. The film she made in the short form Temporary (2017 produced by Milena Vandervoort) has been shown all across the United States. It was awarded Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival and Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest. The Director's Choice Award was also presented at the Sedona International Film Festival. Milena was an actor in more than 100 television shows. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her first appearance on CBS. She then became the only female detective in Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) as well as Lori Stevens (MTV Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has also appeared in many films, such as Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011) in which she starred opposite Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015), which stars with Method Man; and the features Closure (2018), Be the Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena is a Norman, Oklahoma native. When she was valedictorian at her high school and then going further to get an undergraduate degree in both vocal performance and premed with minors in violin and dance at the University of Central Oklahoma. Soon after, she capitalized on her classical ballet background to make an appearance on Broadway in the production of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall of 'Cabaret' at Studio 54.
