Rose McGowan

"Rose" McGowan (born on the 5th of September, 1973) is an American
actress and activist. McGowan made her debut film debut in 1992 in Encino Man
(1992), and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination in 1995
for her role in the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995). Her breakout role
came in the film horror Scream in the year 1996. Her next film was the film
Jawbreaker (1999) and Devil in the Flesh (2000). During the 2000s, McGowan
became known to viewers on television for her performance in the role of Paige
Matthews in The WB supernatural drama series Charmed (2001-2006). McGowan was
later cast in Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's double-feature film
Grindhouse (2007) for which she was nominated for both the Saturn Award for
Best Actress as well as the Scream Award for Best Scream Queen. McGowan was in
the action thriller series Chosen (2014) as well as released her debut album,
Planet 9, in 2018, which was followed by a second repackaging in 2020. McGowan
was honored by Time as one of the Silence Breakers, the magazine’s Person of
Year in 2017. She spoke out against sexual assault and harassment particularly
the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases. Brave is her memoir. Citizen Rose was
her documentary series. Both of these were released in 2018.
