Rochon is the daughter of Zelma Staples and Samuel Staples. She was born in Torrance, Los Angeles, to Zelma Staples as well as Samuel Staples. Cerritos was her high school. Her graduation was in 1982. In 1986 she earned her degree in 1986 from California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) in which she earned a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. Her degree also included minors in sociology and theatre. Rochon returned to CSUDH to speak at the commencement ceremony in 2016 as the keynote speakers.

Heather Storm has been a television host and producer on numerous networks. She also writes about travel. Heather Storm is a car lover. She's been host of Garage Squad for Discovery MotorTrend Network and Street Tuner Challenge for Speed TV. Heather developed and hosts the digital travel show Drive Yourself Local where she tells stories from the locals in the small town while traveling across America with the 1965 Ford Mustang. Heather has appeared in several films and television shows that include Nightingale and Epic Movie.

Ullerup was Julia Brynn in the 2006 remake of Battlestar Galactica, which was shown through the Sci Fi Channel. In the first two seasons on Sanctuary the actress appeared as Ashley Magnus until the character was deleted. It was her exit that caused heated debate among the supporters. Many wanted to bring the character back for a future episode, before the show was terminated in the year 2012. Ullerup was Bree O'Brien, in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup portrayed Maggie Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact, the movie about the 2015 disaster. Ullerup has been a regular character as Dale Travers, in the Hallmark Signed, Sealed, Delivered film series since 2016.
