Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television host in America and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Burrell hosts of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares straightforward and simple cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of New York's top restaurants, has learned about the Italian food and culture, and participated in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love of cooking and food early on. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable learning experience for me. I couldn't learn enough couldn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduating, chef Burrell was in Italy for one year attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. The chef gained an understanding of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy and this has affected the way she cooks. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps children with obstacles. As a guest speaker and teacher Burrell travels throughout the U.S. to share her love for cooking and profession. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has often said that I am very fortunate to share my true passion for life with people.
